cheesy horror movie lines

DVD cover looked a bit shoddy and at first glance I thought the reptile was a snake instead of a crocodile. Luckily I do not judge by their covers DVD (the truth is I always seem to pick the covers that look great before anything else … Right?), But tend to look at several things before purchasing. That is the synopsis (obviously), the distributor or studio, and sometimes the budget. Of course the budget is not actually displayed on the cover, but they tend to do sometimes an internet search shortly before leaving for a store to buy or rent videos lesser known or foreign films.

Apparently the budget for the Black water is less than one million. I guess for that amount probably found a good set of computer animation artists to collect alligator stunt and a semi-talented person to write the script.

Actually, I'm just being naive! I guess I just put the DVD into the player and see myself.

The film opens with Gracie (Diana Glenn), her husband Adam (Andy Rodoreda) and her younger sister Lee (Maeve Dermody) to go on an expedition little fishing in the desert of Australia with the help of a tour guide, unknowingly, the waters of man-eating crocodile-infested.

The atmosphere seems sufficiently nice as the trio cast their lines into the murky depths until suddenly a giant crocodile sneaks by surprise and turns the boat! The tour finishes as crocodile food while the trio is able to get to the safety of a nearby tree. Here is where the real story begins when he becomes a tale of man against the wild as the characters are basically trapped, while the crocodile hides under starvation.

A large part of the film is actually the characters are trapped in the tree that might make some viewers impatient to hit the fast forward button in the hope of seeing more action, but I found these "Sitting and wait "scenes to be particularly attractive, especially by the fact that you could feel a sense of nervousness of the characters because of the utter helplessness of their situation.

The film really does not drag all that much to be honest because the characters tend to make an effort to escape, whether dealing returning to the boat capsized or maneuvers from one tree to another, but ultimately they are forced to rise up above the trees to escape Wrath of unusually athletic CROC!

What I generally liked the film is like grabbing it with their level of stress and uncertainty of events as the characters are fighting for their lives. Not many remarkably corny phrases, and in general, the film opts for silence is a method that can operate if applied correctly. Females are not worried about the state of the nails and not to shout along as annoying airhead or is a rule in most films mounted horror cliché. In fact, I would like to applaud the actors for their performances here, and above all give him a standing ovation to the directors David Nerlich and Andrew Traucki see what they managed to accomplish here.

Crocodile effects were handled well for a limited budget, I must say, the combination of special effects with real documentary footage. The crocodile itself is not bad, but it is a threatening and scary presence with the intention of party. In fact a crocodile trying to eat three innocent people may be considered bad now that I think about it, but truly your intention is simply to survive like any other reptile or animal in the desert. The only problem here is that the crocodile wants to eat the people who come to care.

Character development in itself is somewhat limited, but if we get the gist of it, the characters are more than just a happy youth group enjoying a little fishing trip. There is nothing wrong with it.

A large completion of the falls directly on the ability of Maeve Dermody to sell the illusion of fear, pain, anger, anguish, despair, and the will to resist and fight, when face to face with nasty crocodile.

In general, Black Water is a shocking and frightening experience that exceeded my expectations. A classification that the list of best horror films coming out of Australia, no doubt! With Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, the best place to see this movie should ideally be a lazy Sunday afternoon. There is no real need to see with the lights off because the action takes place during the day and I hardly go to bed wondering if there is a crocodile in your closet. Although I think it's going to think twice before going fishing in the mangroves of Australia!
