Since ancient times, men and women have practiced the art of acting-in the role of a character in a story, to entertain an audience. Why just read a story about when they can take part in it, playing the role and make a display of skill?
The actors have found various ways during the centuries, acting as the voice on the radio, theater and film acting. The modern movie industry employs thousands of actors to play the roles of characters in movie scripts, recording them for display on the silver screen. Acting in film is rarely done before an audience, but has the added pressure be seen by millions on the release later screen.
Acting is a form of traditional art and many players learn by going to the institutions established academic. Institutions are the most famous London Academy Of Film, Radio and Television and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Some players train in a variety of different places, learning classic techniques and modern performance, such as method acting. This is a style of acting where the actor strives to be as realistic as possible based on personal experience of emotional situations instead of dramatizing.
The tradition is as dates back to ancient times, with the ancient Egyptians and Greeks either for religious purposes or more in the case of the Greeks, for entertainment. A man named Thespis is Acclaimed as the first actor is recognized again in 560 BC C., and his name inspired the term dramatic, as another word for actor (see website Web New York Film Academy). It is claimed by some as one of the first to embody a character with the purpose of the stories, the use of masks to distinguish between identities.
