When the film ends hair terribly, terribly wrong!

Sometimes a man may find himself the victim of a barber who either has no idea – or have a sick sense of humor instead.

Most of us have suffered the indignity of the haircut from hell. "The good thing is, they expect it out, the hair grows, and grooming passes crisis. You, and all who had the good taste to point and laugh at you, forget it ever happened.

Pity, then, the Hollywood actor appearing in a successful movie with its own "haircut from hell." He can never forget it. Not only has he been captured for all eternity, but the public can enlarge a hundred times more on the big screen. It's like having a grain size of Cuba on the forehead.

For example, I remember Javier Bardem and his recent turn in the Oscar-winning No Country for Old Men. This pageboy haircut in a soulless mass murderer? Really? Yes, we admire the way he took charge of business, but should have won the Academy Award for the chilling fact remains Despite looking like a mean age of Buster Brown.

Let's talk about a couple of murderers film with back hair – Samuel Jackson and John Travolta in another Oscar-winning Pulp Fiction. It is a testament to his two talents that are presented as the best players in the room – even though Jackson looks more like the original '70 's "Shaft" when he did the remake, and apparently Liv Tyler Travolta after swimming class. Again, it is easy to be successful professional men when their victims are so shocked by his horrible hairstyles are too stunned to run. The real murderers are the barbers here involved.

Then there's another fun screen couple whose exploits were a bit on the side Lightweight – Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber. At least her haircut was slightly justified by the fact that they were supposed to be stupid. Without But two hours of Carrey aspect of Moe of the Three Stooges and Daniels looking like one of the dogs that are supposed to care too much to ask.

Finally, there is a the superstars of all time modern film – Tom Cruise, who certainly is not as handsome as he used to be. You probably think that his star began to began to fall when the new Olympic sport of 'sofa-jumping on Oprah's show. We have a different theory. We started with her hair in the film "Magnolia."

It is one of the most widely seen film – and he really played a supporting part – but for those used for standard Top Gun Tom Cruise haircut, he was surprised to see the hairdresser girly-man in this offbeat film. Frankly, we did think it was a great candidate to play Lois Lane if you make another Superman movie. Cruise could have known what he was doing, though – because, again, something about having the guts to Sport worst possible hair part, convinced the gods of cinema to reward the player with an Oscar nomination.

We are being a bit cruel here – Obviously, all these extreme hair styles were created in order to improve specific elements of the actors were playing. And in all cases these superstars were rewarded handsomely for these specific items either Oscar recognition or greater career opportunities. The bad haircut right made the difference for them.

But you're not after an Academy Award upon entering the salon – you are looking for the best haircut.

Cruise PS recently did it again playing a major producer of Hollywood in Ben Stiller comedy Tropic Thunder. I hope he gets something for that role. It's a job only to have their scenes.
