If the World Mine is an utterly charming film. It is a musical with a great rock soundtrack with the letter based on the works of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Midsummer Night's Dream that is my favorite of all the brilliant plays of Shakespeare. I cross dress and the rules of the worker-actor Peter Quince in my fifth primary production of the same. I took my husband to see live on stage when we were leaving first. I love the 1999 movie version, not just because it has a young Christian Bale as Demetrius. Heck, I called my book a night last summer, and in one scene the characters are watching a Shakespeare movie.
If the mine in the world is not only a new adaptation of the play, however. Its central character is Timothy, a gay teenager in a private school for boys. He has an unrequited crush on Jonathan, who happens to be a rugby player uber-jockey. Enter Miss T, the English teacher. She insists that issued the rugby players male in the play, A Midsummer Night's Dream. Everyone knows that English teachers have the magic, and in this case, it is literally true. Timothy, who throws as mischievous fairy Puck, which caused many "fairy" jokes, but also teaches him the magic formula to make the labor of love that induce flowering.
With the flower of magical thinking that can make people fall in love with one at first sight, Jonathon Timothy to fall for him. Unfortunately, he makes a mistake and accidentally also gets his friend Max heterosexuals fall in love with him. Timothy then goes a bit wild and the city becomes gay. But this is a comedy, and like Shakespeare's version, all star-crossed romances and rivalries straightened (literally, in this case) by the end of the film. I do not think anybody surprised to know that when all the magic is reversed, it is by Timothy Jonathon feels authentic, and the two live happily ever after.
Music is great, the characters are adorable, and the production of Miss T glam of A Midsummer Night's Dream is great. (Adam Lambert could easily star in this, if that were adapted as a stage musical.) theater lovers will appreciate the play within the play. In fact, only the height of homophobic might not like this production disarmament.
