Can a 40 year old physically harm a minor (resulting in marks+hair pulling) to reprimand the minor?

I’m under 18 and earlier tonight I was caught changing some letters on a local restaurant sign. On my way home a dude pulled off the road in a truck, approached me, and drug me to his truck by my jacket. Then, after he threatened me, fist clenched, i tried to make a break for it. Like a horror-movie stereotype i fell and was caught once more, being drug this time by my hair. The dude pulled out a lot of hair as well as left marks from grabbing and chasing me. He continued to hold me by the hair until the owner of the sign showed up. Can I press any charges at all on this man?

No, but 18 is not a minor. It wouldn’t be very smart pressing charges on someone who was stopping you from committing a crime.
