Halloween Ideas: Celebrating Halloween on a Budget
It's almost Halloween, once again, and the wide range of Halloween candy is available in major stores that made me think-why is not Halloween made into more than one event? Like a creepy Christmas or something similar. Seriously, could become much more than trick or treating and bobbing for apples. In addition, there are more out there than just toffee apples to give as Halloween gifts for everyone.
It is not just that children can celebrate Halloween. Taking it as the commercial version of Halloween and not the religious festival observed by the pagan community (Samhain, prononced "Sow-en 'Or' Savvas "depending on whom you ask), Halloween can be a blast for kids and adults, and can serve as a bonding experience for families. The participation of children in Halloween-style games can be a good way to entertain and educate young people in traditional pastimes (even when their origins have become so obscured by popular culture). Dressing up, getting made up as witches and monsters and the like can be fun for me all involved, and properly supervised Trick-or-treat is a great thing for making memories.
Another ideal method to make a memorable Halloween for children would gather a group of them together for a Halloween party before mini Trick-or-treat. I read a chilling story of serial proliferation childhood terror that are in the market, or show a film properly.
But Halloween is not limited to the domain of children, and neither should be. With all kinds of events Thematic clubs, cinemas and there are plenty of others that the adult Halloweener can sink their teeth into (sorry). There are plenty of Halloween-themed merchandise they make great gifts for your loved ones, and leave memories of horror movies and horror merchandise such as action figures, posters, statues and the films themselves. You could check out things like the always disturbing figures Living Dead Dolls, or the movie collectibles created by MacFarlane Toys, NECA and Sideshow Collectibles.
Want a great night of Halloween in it? What if you meet a selection of friends, some suitably scary movies kitsch (Go for the cheese more than the hardcore dark things zombie movies, cheap B-movies, Chucky, Underworld, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th million dollars and its sequels, films you can shout a), Halloween snacks (stock up on kids snacks and themed sweets-there is no one saying that adults can not have some fun too), add some appropriate music camp (I recommend 'Project 1950' and 'American Psycho' by the Misfits, and anything by the Cramps) and voila, you have the ingredients of a party of the Halloween fun at home. Of course, that sounds like a typical night our place, but still, there are people out there that are actually normal. Somewhere. I think. get your place decorated with cobwebs and skulls and make an event outside it.
When choosing films for Halloween, I suggest you find a lot of 80s horror titles, and really capture the atmosphere fun right that one needs to make a fun evening with friends around. Why 80? Listen. While some may argue that we are enjoying something of a resurgence in "real horror movie, with its millions of SAW sequels and remakes of classics million, I wonder what happened to the movies of terror that would have to yell 'COOL! in the midst of his cries. The 1980s are a good example of a time when horror films of all matter set horror pretty good but mixed in a generous dose of humor and fun without being parody. While horror has become either more serious or more soft in recent years, with endless repetitions of the themes always Schlock old demons like me are left wanting something that is not being delivered, namely, the movies you want to re to see.
You see, a major problem with current horror cinema is that companies are making product instead of movies. You can go to any outlet DVD and find rack rack of Wrong Turn / cry / Guest Halloween imitations are cheap and easy to make, and there's hardly a memorable title between them.
I'm just craving the old days of contemporary terror-but it lacks something. Look at the 80. Evil Dead 2. Fright Night. The Lost Boys. Pumpkinhead. Elm Street. Hellraiser. Vamp. Return of the Living Dead. Hell, even Rawhead Rex was better than most of the output current posing as horror. All these horror films have its scares and blood can, but there was certainly fun to each of them. They hit their beats so well that almost could see the rhythm. I'd love to see a return to that type of structure. Many recent films and their subsequent franchises do not seem to want to do anything new with the format you are playing like a dead horse in particular.
Want to see a fun evening? Check out any of the following horror movies for some shows with his blood:
Creepshow, Day of the Dead, Trick or Treat, Poltergeist, The Evil Dead, Friday the 13th, An American Werewolf in London, Bad Dreams, Hellraiser, Evil Dead 2, Return of the Living Dead 2: Hellraiser II, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Re-Animator, Scanners, The Burning, Class of Nuke Em 'High contrast (well, this is a parody, but still kicks ass), the beyond, House, 976: Poor, Witchboard, Warlock, The Thing, Bad Taste, Cat People, Child's Play, Cat's Eye, itching TITLE Mall (BEST.. EVER), Dead Zone, The Gate, The Hunger, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Monster Squad, Society, Sorority girls in the Slime-ball Bowl-O-Rama ….. By God, there thousands. Go find some fun.
There are many ways to make your Halloween a fun night to remember. Start with a movie night as suggested above, and then go over a themed party or a concert. Preferably in costume. Check local listings for events in your area you can go along of and participate in. If all this sounds like a no-brainer, that's because it is. With a little effort can transform what has become a day without commercial break something can truly enjoy without a lot of costs. Halloween celebrations should not be all about handing out sweets to bored kids on your door should be enjoyed and enjoyed. I mean, how often can you really run around with a plastic trident and horns in the rest of the year? Not really answer that.
