The Crazies is a remake of the 1973 film of George Romero of the same name, the film has a simple premise. A small town in Iowa is going crazy because of something unknown, and the army entered the city to find out why. When David Dutton, the local sheriff, and his wife (Radha Mitchell) are caught in raids by local citizens, the two have to make a mad dash to try out while avoiding the military in the top to meet the city-folk who are under the control of HPAI A (making them mad with bloodlust). Their survival is going to take a bit of luck, however, because time does not on its side.

And while it remains faithful to the spirit of the original, and is infinitely better than Romero's film low budget I could never, banks in their environment as a film along the film sputters after installation perfectly done.

During the first 30 minutes, The Crazies defined primarily by their great show: the military and ordinary people going nutty and kill anyone in sight. Instead of jumping to the situation immediately, There is a slight delay as David (Olyphant) does not know what is happening. As you discover the cause of madness ", and the results fall on deaf ears, the film has a tight rhythm. It is methodical and well done, giving us an introduction to the proceedings that is not insulting or rushed. It is bright, but participation is and has an aura of uncertainty to it. We know what will happen based on the name of history, but only the ramifications are still unknown.

The Problems begin when the film settles into the meat of the story of David and his wife trying to stay alive, because this type of setting the table away to reveal a standard action thriller with elements of horror macabre. There is nothing that would not be out of place in the Resident Evil film, with much of the great dramatic moments become unintentionally hilarious. There are good moments of levity between Olyphant and Mitchell, who have incredible chemistry together. Elevates what could be the "standard to evade and avoid the "formula of relations in the zombie / pseudo-zombie genre, but not quite lift it up.

The Crazies is a horror thriller nice, big-budget tribute to the little known film that was remade from, but ultimately does not have a high quality roof significantly. While it is almost as good as could be, is nothing special.
