new horror movie low budget

Sony EX1 camcorder is a good choice for a film low-budget horror?
I just finished my script for a movie new low-budget horror and I'm in the market to buy a new camera. Obviously, there are many options but I need one that will handle the fight scenes, a Car chase scene, and scenes of the night (probably use "Day for Night" instead of real night shooting). Any information or advice someone you know or have used this type of equipment will be appreciated. I'm also open to other suggestions on what the camera could be better.
the Fisher-Price PXL2000 gives a better picture of horror.
