horror movie carnival
Wednesday, April 27th, 2011
We have always found the house of horrors to be quite the guilty pleasure. We read the book way back when we were kids and the film did not do bad to be true the book. Just something to remember the 80's with.
After Tobe Hooper directed the brilliant Texas Chainsaw Massacre, did some movies over the years 80 and The House of Horrors was one of the best after the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original, of course). The house of horrors that was played mainly in the good ole unit in theaters and had snuck into one when it was playing. It scared us all as it was fair game and then enter the fun house was no more fear than usual.
So here's what it's all about. Four teenagers set out on a double date to visit a carnival on the outskirts of his home city. After walking around and seeing the sights, the four decide to spend the night, hidden in the amusement ride fun house. This soon becomes an error, as shows that a murder committed by a popular pitchman who hides her face behind a mask of Dr. Frankenstein monster. Before you know it, are running for their lives while the masked villain lurks, demolished one by one.
If you are looking for one of those fun horror films that takes you back when The Funhouse is to visit. Especially for those of you who have never heard of it or seen. If you have never seen horror movies and love, this is one of finding in your inbox or cut local Netflix. FEARnet interestingly this has not led to a classic horrormeister Tobe Hooper. You will be reminded of what made horror fun back in the 80's before they sacked all the horrible consequences. This was one not meant to be a sequel that was it.
Indie Genius has been making movies for over a decade but we also like to review and help promote other films. To check out the site that’s getting all of Hollywood’s attention go to: Best Movies Ever. To see our movie review for The Funhouse go here Tobe Hoopers Funhouse

Carnival Of Souls (1962 Film) $8.49 Gene Moore’s soundtrack to this 1962 cult classic begins like a picnic at a monster-truck rally; an engine revs into the red, and a scream is cut off by a limb-rending crash. But this is only the prelude to a festival in purgatory as a church organist is plagued by sinister visions and a stalker in corpse paint. Moore’s organ score runs the gamut of carefree filler to a hygiene film (”Travel Music… |

Carnival of Souls [VHS] $7.50 An ultra-cheap B-horror movie, filmed in Lawrence, Kansas, in 1962, with a really creepy Twilight Zone-style premise and some great shoestring atmosphere. Killer Klowns from Outer Space $7.21 What’s completely and utterly baffling about Killer Klowns is not the plot–that’s rather tidily summed up by the title–but the fact that it got made at all. According to the filmmakers, (the Chiodo brothers: Charles, Edward, and Stephen) all it took to convince the studio was a one-page treatment and a picture of a clown holding a gun. It boggles the mind. Anyway, some killer Klowns descend from… |
