horror movie making tips
What are some tips for writing a short horror story?

I have to find a good short story that I can use for my short that I am doing (that is no more than 5 minutes). I want it to be horror / suspense. My plan is to shoot this in a wooded area and probably will be the single biggest perhaps character in this film. If anyone knows of a story with which I can adjust this setting that, then I appreciate it. If not, any suggestions and ideas for the story would be great! I do not want to take cliches that ruin the story and I'm new to writing plots in the horror genre. Thanks!

Hey, thanks for replying to the mines. I'll try to answer yours. You may begin the short film at the climax of the story. You can also add flashbacks to fill half. For to end the conflict could become resolved. It is different from the norm of a story that begins in the beginning, and ending in the end. The real theme of the short film about you may be fighting the demons within yourself. As you said, thinking himself only is the cast of the film, so using an internal "devil" theme that allow you to do so. The events that have occurred throughout his life are finally coming together to ruin it (these events could be involved and so subtle that you do not have to take more people). It could be about your character want to commit suicide because "she" and can not give life (the hell is going to encourage, but you, as a person, are fighting the urge).
