What is the importance of bats in Chinese culture or folklore?
I recently went to a home decor store and found Chinese These beautiful wooden carvings that bats. The first guy creeped me because I remember the bats of horror and occult. No However, the carvings were made very well and I wanted to buy, but I would not because I'm not sure what they mean in Chinese folklore. I know that the cranes symbolize longevity, prosperity and abundance, wisdom elephants. Sizes are not just random. I know they mean something and I will not hang in my home until find exactly what they mean and how they signify their meaning. In feng shui, I know symbolism and at home will bring good fortune and sometimes bad luck.
In Chinese culture, the bat would bring good luck or bad luck!
